At Onyx Medica, all of our GMC registered doctors will follow a strict and professional medical approach to your personalised treatment plan.
All clients, upon making an appointment, will be referred to this website to help provide some basic information and background to treatments they require.
To all our clients, we offer a free consultation service, with one of our fully GMC registered doctors to openly discuss what treatment you desire.
We will explain what the treatments are, which areas we can treat and what results to expect. This eliminates non-realistic expecations and avoids disappointment.
During each treatment, whether it is at one of our professional establishments or at your home, we will go through our consent process with you, to ensure you are aware of the risks of the treatment(s) you wish to receive.
This will incorporate a full medical history, including allergies and previous aesthetic treatments.
We will also ask for a full medication history, as some drugs may cause additional bleeding risks and some antibiotics may interact with anti-wrinkle treatment.
Female clients will need to notify us if they are pregnant, as treatments may carry additional risks.
We, at Onyx Medica will answer all questions and concerns that our clinets may have prior to the commencement of their procedure.
Our aim is ensure that we deliver a client-centred, safe and professional service.
It is imperative that no alcohol is consumed before the treatment. We advise no alcohol 24 hours prior to the event. This prevents the face from flushing (due to vasodilation) and prevents the Botox® migrating.
It is important that there is no pressure to have any treatment, either from family or friends. We at Onyx Medica, will advise on which procedure is best to achieve the look you desire. Onyx Medica will not insist on any treatment. Our professional, free consultation is non-obligatory and is for our clients to form their own clear and informed decision.
If you want to gift a Botox® or a dermal filler treatment to a friend or relative who has not had it before, it is very important that they are given the chance to consider whether they want it done. This will avoid any coersion as they may be put in a position of being unable to refuse a gift, and will also avoid a wasted gift.
All treatments are approximately 20 mins after the consent has been discussed. Dermal fillers may require more pre-treatment time (30-45 minutes) for topical anaesthetic creams to take full effect.
We offer everyone a complimentary 2 week review to ensure satisfactory results at one of our clinics or private rooms.
